This is not a catalytic converter!
This is a special section of straight pipe with a decorative housing.
It is a test pipe that can be used to diagnose emissions issues or installed on pre-1975 vehicles that did not come with catalytic converters from the factory.
Made of mild steel, this non-catalytic converter will install easily and match many aftermarket exhaust components.
This product does not perform the exhaust cleansing function of a catalytic converter in any way. Use of this product as a substitution for a factory-installed catalytic converter is not allowable under law. It may result in a significant gain in horsepower and may prevent your car from passing emissions.

Welded these onto a 2.5" aluminized steel H pipe. Diameter was just about exact and it looks great on the car especially after hitting it with a coat of VHT exhaust paint. Great price as well!
BOTTOM LINE? Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
